Modified characters, the Amiga-specific range of non-ASCII characters which
are usually language-specific, are directly supported.

They may be entered by pressing either of the Alt-keys, followed by:

An unrecognized Alt-combination is ignored; an audio-signal is given to
alert the user.

NOTE 1: This way of entering these characters is similar to the manner
        incorporated in the Digital VT-series terminals (compose-key).

NOTE 2: The order in which the keys for a combined character are entered
        is immaterial (provided Alt is entered first)
